Matteo Moretti

Howdy!

Matteo Moretti is a Greek–Italian–American filmmaker and cinematographer drawn to intimate, place-based stories at the intersection of culture, environment, and lived experience. Drawn to enduring traditions and the people who sustain them, his work favors approaches that allow time, texture, and presence to guide the story. His work has screened at major festivals including True/False, Big Sky, DOC NYC, and New Orleans, and he was a 2025 LEF Flaherty Fellow and 2023 newportFILM Cinematographer Lab Fellow. Matteo has received support from the LEF Foundation and Kye’s Climate Action Fund.
