For some reason I save things. I’ve saved almost every birthday, graduation, or life event card from my grandparents since I was 8. Along with a voicemail from my 19th birthday, I created this memory to both remember the ever-present love from my grandparents but also as a poignant way to mark the onset of my grandma’s dementia as I honor her 3 years since her passing.
